​Polygons

• The word polygon means “many angles.” ​Poly = many; gon = angle

• ​They are 2-dimensional shapes.

• ​The sides are straight lines.

• ​Non of the line segments can cross one another

• ​The shape is “closed,” that is, all the lines are connected
