Indirect object pronouns in Spanish are words that are indirectly affected by the verb. They're used when describing to whom or for whom an action is done.

To emphasize or clarify who is liking something use the prepositional phrase A + mí (or tí, etc.) before the me gusta (o te gusta, etc).

​Example:

Me gusta el chocolate or a mí me gusta el chocolate. (I like chocolate)

Le gustan las peras or a él le gustan las peras. (He likes pears)

To say that something is not pleasing or you do not like it simply put a “NO” before the indirect object pronoun.

​A ella no le gustan las patatas. (She doesn't like potatoes)

A Susan y David no les gusta cocinar. (Susan and David don't like to cook)
