The three symbols that you will use look like so:

Each of the three symbols above have names. The first is the
less than symbol, the second greater than and the third the
equal to sign. The less than sign means that the first number is
smaller than the second number. The greater than sign means
that the first number is bigger than the second number, and
the equal to sign means that both the first and second number
are the same.
