The verb TENER

I. Los usos de tener

a. When we want to talk about what
we have, we use the verb tener.

Ejemplos:

- ¿Tienes hermanos? - Do you have siblings?
- Tengo un hermano y dos hermanas.

• I have a brother and two sisters.

b. You also use tener to express
how old someone is.

- ¿Cuántos años tienes? - How old are you?

- Tengo quince años. - I’m 15 years old.
