Past Progessive

We use past progressive for an event that was happening in the past when another event interrupted it.

For example,

I was sleeping when my mom called.

I was sleeping (past progressive)

My mom called (simple past)

In past progressive, we use was/were + Verb-ing.

After this, you have to write sentences.

You will see:

passengers/sit on deck/ship sink

You have to write a sentence with past progressive and past simple:

The passengers were sitting on deck when the ship sank.
