Animals are amazing creatures that have incredible abilities to sense and perceive their surroundings. Some animals can see better in the dark, others can hear sounds that we can't even imagine, and some can even smell things from far away.

However, despite their incredible super senses, many animals are in danger due to poaching.

What is Poaching?

Poaching is when people hunt and kill animals illegally. This means that they are hunting animals that they are not allowed to hunt. People hunt them for fur, tusks, horns, or otheir body parts that can be sold for money.

People who kill animals are called hunters or poachers.

ELEPHANTS

Elephants are poached for their ivory tusks. Ivory is a hard, white material that comes from the tusks of elephants. Ivory is used to make all sorts of things, such as jewelry, ornaments, and even piano keys.
