Pixel Art began when computers had a very small amount of memory. It's now become a RETRO style ( retro means old stuff that is cool )

Pointilism was made famous by artists like George Seurat (1859-1891)

He used a series of brightly coloured dashes or dots.

Collage

​Cut Paper Collage

Collage was used by Henry Matisse (1869-1954) as he was often sick and in bed. It became his favourite art style.

All of these styles are based on GRIDS. Grids are extremely powerful in art and design.
