The leading character, Frodo, and his eight companions—who include the wizard Gandalf and Frodo’s faithful gardener Sam—must go on a dangerous journey to destroy a magical ring inside Mount Doom. The journey is long and hard, and on their way to Mount Doom, Frodo and his friends have to struggle against all kinds of evil creatures, and even against the evil power of the ring itself. Despite being separated from the other group members at one point, Frodo and Sam still make their way to their destination.

Conclusion

At the end of the story, Frodo casts the ring into Mount Doom and all the evil power in Middle Earth collapses. Though Frodo and his companions are not all human, their feat is meant to be an example to us: with courage and cooperation, we too can defeat the evil that oppresses us, and return the light to our world.
