​The date was the 15th of September 1963. Four girls named Addie Mae Collins, Carole Robertson, Denise McNair, and Cynthia Wesley unfortunately died from the bombing. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. responded by going to the girls' funerals and creating speeches. Not only did MLK visit the funerals, but about 8,000 people

did.
