Speech of Presentation

-a brief speech given to present a prize or honor.

1. Explain the award or honor and why the presentation is important.

2. Explain what the recipient has accomplished in order for the award to be bestowed.

3. If the competition was conducted in a public forum and numerous people didn't win, you can recognize those people for their efforts as well.

Speech of Acceptance

- a speech given by the recipient of a prize or honor.

1. Thank the people who have given you the award or honor and possibly those who voted for you.

2. Give credit to those who helped you achieve the award or honor.

3. Put the award in perspective by explaining why the award is meaningful to you.

This assignment is due on Thursday, December 21st!

Be prepared to present and accept an award in class.
