Les adjectifs possessifs

(Possessive adjective)

• Possessive adjective is use to design someone owns or possess something.

• For example, to imply that you own a book, you can say "this is my book" or in french "c’est mon livre".

• The possessive adjective agrees with the noun (masculine, feminine or plural).

  Ex : Voiture ( car ) is a feminine singular. So to say my car, we use : ma = “ ma voiture”

• Feminine noun that starts with vowel must use masculine possessive adj.

  Ex : école ( school ) is a feminine singular. However, we cannot use ma école because it starts with vowel. Thus the right form is “ mon école’’
