Cấu trúc câu ước với 'Wish'

I wish you all the best in the future.

I wish I were rich

• I wish you a pleasant stay here.

• I wish you all the best in the future.

• I saw Mark before the exam, and he wished me luck.

• I wish you a happy birthday!

=> S + wish + O + noun: mong ai đó có gì

Chú ý: I wish you a happy birthday. (wish sb + danh từ)

but I hope you have a happy birthday. (hope sb + động từ)

Khi muốn nói 'ta hối tiếc' thì

nhưng ý nghĩa của câu vẫn sẽ ở hiện tại nhé

• I wish you didn't have to go so soon. (you have to go)

• Do you wish you lived near the sea? (you don't live near the sea)

• I'm sorry I have to go. I wish I could stay longer. (but I can't)

• It's been raining all day. I wish it would stop raining.

ta sẽ sử dụng cấu trúc wish + quá khứ

Khi muốn nói 'ta hối tiếc' thì

chú ý với cấu trúc dùng động từ be

• I wish I were a teacher. (In fact I am an officer now.)

• They wish they were in London. (In fact, they are in Vietnam now.)

• She wishes she were rich. (In fact, she is really poor)

• Ms. Thanh wishes she were 1m70cm tall. (But she is only 156cm)

=> S + wish(es) + S/O + were +....

(luôn dùng were kể cả cho chủ ngữ số ít hoặc số nhiều)

ta sẽ sử dụng cấu trúc wish + quá khứ
