69. 1st Grade SRR: Phil and Miss Rose

Phil goes to see Miss Rose when he gets off the bus. Miss Rose helps Phil’s mom. Phil goes to Miss Rose’s house before his mom gets home from work. Phil likes Miss Rose. She is such fun!

Phil and Miss Rose play games. They tell jokes and make snacks. They make kites and fly them.

Phil and Miss Rose do so much every day. Phil likes to go to Miss Rose’s home.

Miss Rose can jump rope. She shows Phil how to do it.

Phil jumps seven times and then he jumps eight times. The next day, Phil jumps even more times! Now Phil can jump rope just like Miss Rose!

Miss Rose can skip stones. She shows Phil how to do it. This stone skips seven times! They skip more stones and then hike back home.

Phil has fun with Miss Rose. No day with her is the same as the last.

Miss Rose and Phil ride bikes on nice days. Miss Rose takes her cat, Hope, with them. Hope even has a hat! Hope likes to bat at it.

They stop at a big stump. Phil can carry Hope back to the bikes.

When Mom gets home, Phil goes home, too. He waves to Miss Rose. Miss Rose waves back.

Phil smiles as he thinks about what he and Miss Rose will do next time. He bets it will be a blast!
