Tenemos dos clases de sustantivos , los contables y los incontables. Contables, son aquellos que podemos contar, por eso van a tener una forma SINGULAR y otra PLURAL, mientras los incontables son aquellos que no podemos contar, por lo tanto solo tienen una forma : LA SINGULAR.

Sustantivos Contables :
BANANA SANDWICH EGG
BANANAS SANDWICHES EGSS
Como ves, estos sustantivos los puedo contar, por eso tienen una forma singular ( BANANA) y una forma plural ( BANANAS).

Sustantivos Incontables :
RICE PASTA JUICE
Como ves, estos sustantivos NO los puedo contar, por eso SOLO tienen una forma singular ( RICE) y NO una forma plural (RICES). Con estos sustantivos no puedes usar a/ an ni números.

Usamos A con Sustantivos Contables Singulares , si nuestro sustantivo empieza por vocal utilizamos AN.
También usamos SOME con sustantivos incontables en las oraciones afirmativas . Utilizaremos ANY con las negativas y las preguntas .
Usamos SOME con sustantivos plurales en oraciones afirmativas. En las negativas e interrogativas con los sustantivos plurales usaremos ANY.
