WHAT IS SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
The present simple tense is used to describe regular actions, general truths, habits, and permanent situations. It is formed using the base form of the verb (infinitive) without any changes for the subject, except for the third-person singular form, which adds an -s or -es to the verb.

1. I go to school every day.
2. She works at a hospital.
3. They live in New York.
6. He plays the guitar.
n the examples above, sentences 1, 2, 3, and 6 use the base form of the verb because the subjects are either "I," "she," "they," or "he."

Sentence 4 uses the third-person singular form "rises" because the subject is "the sun."
