Moles & Molar Mass
Avogadro's Number - 6.02 x 1023 atoms/mole
1 mole of any element or compound has 6.02x1023 atoms or molecules
But each atom or molecule has a different mass
Molar Mass - the mass of a mole of an element is given by its atomic mass
The molar mass of carbon is 12.01 g/mole
The molar mass of oxygen is 15.99 g/mole
The molar mass of CO is 12.01 + 15.99 = 28.0 g/mole

Mole Ratio's
Mole Ratio's are a ratio between the numbers of molews of any two of the substances in a balanced chemical equation.
CH4 + 2O2 --> CO2 + 2H2O
The mole ratio between CH4 / O2 = 1/2
The mole ratio between CH4 / CO2 = 1/1
the mole ratio between CH4 / H2O = 1/2
The mole ratio between O2 / H2O = 2/2.
