Noun

Naming people, things, places or ideas

→ As a Subject, after determiner, (possessive) adjective, after verb as an Object

Verb

Action or state

(động từ thường + động từ to be)

→ After subject, auxiliary verb and modal verb

Adjective

Describing noun and pronoun

→ After to be, before noun, after linking verb, after verb of senses

Adverb

Modifying noun, verb, adjective

→ After and before verb, at the beginning or the end of the sentence, before the comma, before adjective

Pronoun

Replacing nouns

→ As a subject, after verb as object

Preposition

Showing relationship of words and phrases

→ Can be anywhere, after preposition must be a noun or gerund

Conjunction

Joining words, phrases and clauses

→ At the beginning of the sentence, between the words or clauses

Determiner

Modifying or describing a noun, specifying quantity

→ Before noun

Interjection

Showing strong emotion and feeling.

→ At the beginning of the sentence, before exclamation mark

-ING FORM

We can use the -ing form of a verb
