​1) Zero Conditional Sentences (If clause type 0)

​ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นจริงเสมอ (สามารถใช้ when แทน if ได้ด้วย) ซึ่ง If cluase (ประโยคเงื่อนไข) กับ Main cluase (ประโยคหลัก) สามารถสลับตำแหน่งกันได้

​If + Simple Present, Simple Present  *ต้องมีคอมมา (,) เชื่อมประโยค
(do, does not) , (do, does not)

​Simple Present + if + Simple Present   *ละคอมมา (,) ได้เลย

​1) Zero Conditional Sentences (If clause type 0)

​EX1 - If you heat water to 100 celsius, it boils.
         Water boils if you heat it to 100 celsius.

​หรือใช้สำหรับประโยคคำสั่งใน Main clause ได้ด้วย เช่น

    If Gary calls, tell him to come and see me tomorrow

    Tell him to come and see me tomorrow if (when) Gary calls.

​2) First Conditional Sentences (If clause type 1)

​ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นจริง/อาจจะเป็นไปได้ รูปแบบนี้จะมี Modal หรือกริยาช่วย (เช่น can, may, might, shall, should, must, ….) เพิ่มเข้ามาด้วย ซึ่งโครงสร้างสามารถเขียนได้ 2 แบบเช่นกัน

​If + Present simple, S. + Modal + infinitive verb  *ต้องมีคอมมา (,) เชื่อมประโยค
(do, does not)

​S + Modal + infinitive v. + if + Present simple  *ละคอมมา (,) ได้เลย

​2) First Conditional Sentences (If clause type 1)

​EX1- If their teacher teaches, the students may come to school.

       ถ้าคุณครูสอน นักเรียนอาจมาโรงเรียน

        Students may come to school if their teacher teaches.

         นักเรียนอาจมาโรงเรียน ถ้าครูสอนหนังสือ
             ***ในที่นี้นักเรียนอาจจะมาหรือไม่มาโรงเรียนก็ได้***

​2) First Conditional Sentences (If clause type 1)

​EX2 - If Tom studies hard, he will pass the exam.

         ถ้าทอมตั้งใจเรียน เขาจะสอบผ่าน
         Tom will pass the exam if he studies hard.
         ทอมจะสอบผ่าน ถ้าเขาตั้งใจเรียน

            ***ในที่นี้ทอมอาจจะสอบผ่านหรือไม่ผ่านก็ได้***

​ 3) Second Conditional Sentences (If clause type 2)

​ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นไปไม่ได้ ไม่เป็นจริง เพ้อฝันเกิ๊นนนนในปัจจุบัน ปัจจุบันเป็นไปไม่ได้ (สามารถใช้ could กับ might แทน would ได้จ้า)

​If + Past Simple, S. + would + infinitive v. *ต้องมีคอมมา (,) เชื่อมประโยค
(did not )

​S. + would + infinitive v. + if + Past Simple  *ละคอมมา (,) ได้เลย

​ 3) Second Conditional Sentences (If clause type 2)

​EX1-   If had a million bath, I would travel around the world.
         ถ้าฉันมีเงินหนึ่งล้านบาท ฉันจะไปเที่ยวรอบโลก

         I would travel around the world if I had a million bath

         ฉันจะไปเที่ยวรอบโลกถ้าฉันมีเงินหนึ่งล้านบาท

        ***ในที่นี้เป็นไปไม่ได้เลย เพ้อฝันมากเว่อร์***

​ 3) Second Conditional Sentences (If clause type 2)

​EX2- If Mike won the lottery first prize, he could buy a Ferrari.
        ถ้าไมค์ถูกล็อตเตอรีรางวัลที่หนึ่ง เขาสามารถซื้อรถเฟอรารีได้

         Mike could buy a Ferrari if he won the lottery first prize.
        ไมค์สามารถซื้อรถเฟอรารีได้ ถ้าเขาถูกล็อตเตอรี่รางวัลที่หนึ่ง

     ***ในที่นี้เป็นไปไม่ได้เลยย เอิ่ม...ถูกเลขท้ายสองตัวให้ได้ก่อนนน***

​ 4) Third Conditional Sentences (If clause type 3)

​ใช้กับเหตุการณ์ที่ตรงกันข้ามกับความเป็นจริงที่เกิดขึ้น ณ ตอนนั้นหรือในอดีต หรือกล่าวถึงความเสียดาย ประมาณว่ารู้งี้น่าจะ... เฮ้อ เสียดายจัง

​If + Past Perfect, S. + would + have + past participle  *ต้องมีคอมมา (,) เชื่อมประโยค

​S. + would + have + past participle + if + Past Perfect  *ละคอมมา (,) ได้เลย

​ 4) Third Conditional Sentences (If clause type 3)

​EX1- If she had taken medicine, she wouldn’t have gone to the hospital.

      ถ้าหล่อนกินยาตอนนั้น คงไม่ต้องไปถึงโรงพยาบาลหรอก

        She wouldn’t have gone to the hospital if she had taken medicine,

     หล่อนคงไม่ต้องไปถึงโรงพยาบาลหรอก ถ้าหล่อนกันยาซะตั้งแต่ตอนนั้น

        ***ในที่นี้ความจริงเป็นเพราะเธอไม่ได้กินยา ตอนนี้เธอจึงต้องไปโรงพยาบาล***

​ 4) Third Conditional Sentences (If clause type 3)

​EX2-  If I had known the time schedule before, I wouldn’t have arrived late.

         ถ้าฉันรู้ตารางเวลาก่อนหน้านี้ ฉันคงจะไม่มาสาย

        I wouldn’t have arrived late if I had known the time schedule before.

     ฉันคงจะไม่มาสายถ้าฉันรู้ตารางเวลาก่อนหน้านี้

       ***ในที่นี้มาสายแล้ว เพราะไม่รู้ตารางเวลามาก่อน จึงเกิดความเสียดาย***
