​Dealing with narcissist: Don't fall for the fantasy

​Narcissists are charming and create an alluring self-image. They attract those seeking validation, especially if they have low self-esteem. However, this allure is ultimately an expensive and illusory fantasy.

​1) Your needs wont be fulfilled. (or even recognized)

Narcissists seek admirers, not partners, valuing others solely for their ability to boost their ego. Your own needs and emotions are irrelevant to them.

​2) Look at the way the narcissist treats other.

If a narcissist lies, manipulates, and hurts others, they will likely treat you the same way over time. Don't believe you're an exception and will be treated better.

​3) Take off the rose-colored glasses.

See the narcissist as they truly are, stop excusing their behavior, and realize they're unlikely to change. Ask yourself if you can live like this indefinitely.

​4) Focus on your dreams.

Shift your focus from the narcissist's delusions to your own goals, talents, and creating a fulfilling reality.
