They didn’t take care of the books and were not interested enough so they forgot about them which led to their loss.
•
The reason they were distorted as well is
because of greediness, committing sins, lack of seeking forgiveness as well as lying.
16
Examples of the distortion of the holy books
At-Tawrah
They claim Allah is imperfect, and make him sound
like a human being who struggles and gets tired.
They claim that you should worship other things
than Allah such idols as well as to ignore the
messengers of Allah.
Al-Injeel
They claim the Prophet Isa (Jesus) (pbuh) is the
son of god (Allah), that there are 3 gods, and
that it is allowed to drink alcohol and eat pork.
17
The Muslim believes in all Allah’s Holy books revealed
by him to his messengers. After the books were
distorted (changed) and lost, the Muslim should not
trust the word of anyone who changed the book.
It is known that Prophet Muhammad peace be
upon him is the last messenger of Allah, so
therefore the Quran is also the last and the
highest of the Holy Books sent down by Allah
