COMPARE NUMBERS
MR. MIKE

1.02.OB: Compare and order whole numbers up to 100 by understanding the concepts of greater than, less than, or equality.

2

How do we compare numbers

Basically, all you do is see what number is greater than one to one, based on the value. So basically you know 4 is bigger than 2, and 10 is bigger than 6. Lets talk about it.

3

Symbols

So as we compare these numbers today, I want you guys to learn some symbols. Okay, so there are symbols for this thing. So here is what they are.
Greater than: 2 < 4, see the alligator mouth is trying to eat the 4 because it is bigger food
Less Than: 7 > 3, see the alligator mouth is turning away from the 3 because it sees the 7, which is bigger.
Equality: 9 = 9, so when this happens the alligator isn't here because it cant choose which one it wants.
