Cheating
A large portion of the Mythbusters assignments that were turned in had answers that were copied and pasted from online answer sheets. I also found cheating on the coyotes in the city assignment. I have decided to remove the Mythbusters assignment from the gradebook. Copying and pasting answers from the internet is considered cheating! I am disappointed in every student that has cheated.
I have created a multiple choice quiz based on the Mythbusters assignment to compensate for the cheating!

Failing Grades
Reminder to all students: There are no minimum 50% grades anymore. You don't do an assignment, you get a zero. Most failing grades are due to students not doing work or turning in low quality work. I read everything you write! You are given time in class to do work, and most of you are choosing not to do anything. If you are not working on assignments in class you are going to continue to fall behind and fail. I will be sending out failing/missing assignment mass emails regularly for quarter 2.

Reminders
If you need to move the microscope, carry it with the arm and base.
The slides are glass. They are breakable! Be careful.
If something breaks, tell me. Do not clean it up yourself!
If your lens is smudged, get lens paper from Ms. Archer.
Please be respectful of the equipment. You can lose lab privileges if you are not acting properly.
Ask Ms. Archer if you have any questions or need help.

Groups
Get into groups of 3
Once you are in your groups, I will assign you to a microscope
I will set up the slides for you. Remember that the water is dirty. Wash your hands if some spills on you.
At the end of class, return all materials to me. Put your stage all the way down, put your objective lens to the lowest setting, and turn off your microscope.
