Training Programme
⁃ The training programme was planned so that there is sufficient rest after a hard
day of practical training/strenuous activity. The rest allows us to recover and be
more refreshed for the next session of practical training/strenuous activity.
⁃ The PT sessions was well placed and progressive as it gradually increase in
intensity over the sessions. There is also a mix of PT conducts that target
different parts of our body.

Training Programme
⁃ We were glad that we were introduced to the RBS 70 system as early as
Week 2, in which we have more hands on practice on honing our deployment
skills.

Logistics - Equipment
⁃ Generally, the RBS 70 equipment that we used, are in working condition.
However, some of the equipment such as the sight have missing paddings and
the sight stand connector cable cannot be connected to the sight.
⁃ Most of the time, there is only one working sims station in the Alpha Part Task
Sims Room. It will be good if the other station is also in working condition for us
to practice more on shooting down targets.

10
Logistics - Facilities
⁃There is no sheltered walkway from 3 DA to the cookhouse and in fact,
there is not much sheltered walkway around CPC. In the event of CAT 1,
there is no sheltered walkway if we need to go e.g. lunch/dinner. This can
also pose as a safety risk.

11
Logistics - Accommodation
⁃The bunks standard is livable and we all like it. However, some of the bunks
have slow working fans and especially for the 4-man bunk, there is only one
fan for that big room. It can also sometimes get stuffy due to insufficient
airflow.

Poll
Which camp serves BETTER Lunches???
CPC
AFTC
13
Logistics - Ration
⁃ Cookhouse (CPC) food is generally quite delicious and satisfying.
⁃ We would be appreciate that if there is Flavoured-Drink dispenser (like in AFTC,
Tekong) installed in the cookhouse. This can boost our morale and help us look
forward to lunch/dinner after a tiring day of training.
- The vegetarian ration for dinner can be further improved as our fellow
vegetarian course mate shares that for dinner, the out ration was bland.

Were the theory/practical lessons
well taught/easily understood?
⁃ Theory lesson was taught well for example, for ATEP, Encik Jack will tell us
some of the key pointers to look out for when identifying the various aircrafts as
well as some key pointers when comparing similar looking aircrafts.
⁃ The practical lessons on deployment of RBS-70 system was well-paced and
taught well. For example, Master Prakash help us individually in finding out what
is our most suitable technique for carrying the missile based on what difficulty
we faced.

What was done well and what
could have been improved?
Done Well
⁃ Giving us motivation to do well for our tests/exams such as early book-out if
the entire course passed the exam. This motivates us to study harder in order to
pass the exam.
⁃ The HBL lessons on Friday for ATEP allow us to learn more effectivity at the
comfort of our home. As everyone have different learning speed, we get to
complete the assignments and practice quiz's at our own pace.

17
Could have been improved
⁃We can improve on our course communication especially during IOR 1 and
others such as SBB. During IOR 1, communication about the turn out can be
better delivered to the rest of the course as some were unclear about the
instructions.

Any matter to bring up/highlight to
make the course more effective?
⁃ Icebreakers for the course during AOP week or the first week of the course.
E.g. we can play the game ‘space teams’. The game is designed for us to
communicate with each other and this can help break the ice and make the
course bond together.

How did you find the planning and scheduling
of the course? What could have been improved?
⁃The schedule is well designed as everyone have different learning curves but the
current course pace and design of the schedule is suitable for all. This current
schedule of the course makes the learning most efficient for us.

What could have been improved?
21
How do you think we can further improve
the engaging/cohesiveness of the course?
⁃To improve cohesiveness, we would appreciate an course nights-off with our
instructors for us to bond over meals and spend time with each other outside
of camp, bringing the entire course closer together.

⁃ The Safety IC always conducts a safety brief before every conduct to ensure that
everyone is fit for the conduct. Temperature taking and water parade was also
conducted before the start of the conduct.
⁃ Crew resource management is always practiced. Course mates remind each other
to correct any wrongdoings, such as forgetting to wear Personal Protection
Equipment(PPE) when handling equipment and missing our any steps when setting
up the RBS-70 System.
⁃ Safety equipment (i.e. HSM, ice box) are present and ready before every conduct
to ensure we monitor the WBGT and in case MDD needs to done.

throughout the course

⁃ During the safety brief, the safety IC also adds in the AVPU and the 7R’s, where
we as the course recite the 7R’s in order for us to remember it by heart.
⁃ As the weather can be quite hot, we are often reminded to drink up and
rehydrate ourselves especially during strenuous conducts.
