Before we get to talking about figurative language, what is figurative language? Well, figurative language is the use of non-literal phrases or words to create a deeper meaning in writing.

There are many types of figurative language.There are only a few, so I will name them all.The types of figurative language is: simile, personification, hyperbole, oxymoron, alliteration, onomatopoeia, metaphor, idiom, synecdoche, and allusion.
