En el valle del río Indo, en el 1500 a.C. existian importantes ciudades, con casa de ladrillos, amplias avenidad y sistema de alcantarillado. En esta cultura se consumía mucha madera, lo que acabó con la vegetación, provocando grandes inundaciones cuando llovía.
