The Mechanics of the Verb

• ​The verb endings indicate either the person doing the speaking, or the person/people being spoken about.

• The person or people are considered the SUBJECT PRONOUN:

  Example: Busco la tarea. (I'm looking for the homework.)

​The verbs that don't need the prepositions are:

• buscar - to look for

• escuchar - to listen (to)

• esperar - to wait (for); to hope

• mirar - to look (at); to watc
