Now on to prepositions.
In English, we have to include the prepositions for, to, and at after a verb.
Example: I'm looking for the homework.
In Spanish, you DO NOT need to have a preposition following the verb unless you are referring to a person (you'll learn about this part later on).
Example: Busco la tarea. (I'm looking for the homework.)
16
The verbs that don't need the prepositions are:
buscar - to look for
escuchar - to listen (to)
esperar - to wait (for); to hope
mirar - to look (at); to watc
Examples showing them in a sentence:
Busco la tarea.
I'm looking for the homework.
Espero el autobús.
I'm waiting for the bus.
