Monomyth

​Also known as a Hero's Journey is the classic story about a hero undertaking (going on) a quest, or a myth that is found in all cultures and across all time periods. It's plot follows a certain pattern and also features certain kinds of characters known as archetypes. An archetype is a well-known recurrent "character type" that possesses certain traits. Ramayana is an example of this kind of myth.
