Graphs Key points
Key elements: Title, labels, legend, data table
-A TITLE that should explain what you are showing in the graph
-LABELS to identify the data used, whether it’s the X and Y axes, the bars on a graph, or a pie chart. Your labels should show what you are comparing. If you are constructing a line or bar graph, be sure to label the graph with the appropriate numbers and in the right increments. If your data only goes to 20, you wouldn’t make your graph go to 100, and you might divide the graph into increments of 2.
-A LEGEND or KEY showing what the data means
-A DATA TABLE that shows the data that is used to construct the chart or graph.
3
Pie Chart:
Did you know? Pie charts are commonly used to represent percentages or parts of a whole. They are not used to display data in a table format. Instead, they visually show the distribution of different animal species or label the graph with appropriate numbers and increments.

Bar Graphs
Trivia: Bar graphs are commonly used to compare data because they provide a visual representation of different categories and their corresponding values. They are especially useful for showing comparisons between different groups or tracking changes over time. Other types of graphs, such as pie charts, line graphs, and scatter plots, have their own specific uses and are not as effective for comparing data in the same way as bar graphs.

Line Graphs
Line graphs are used to show how numerical data changes over time. They are ideal for representing growth or trends. Double line graphs compare sets of data over the same period using different colors or line styles. Remember to include a title, labels, legend, and data table when constructing a line graph.
-Line graph: Represents growth in inches or books read over time.
-Double line graphs: Compare data sets over the same period
