Affixes

• One or more sounds or letters attached at the beginning, middle, or end of a base word

• Different types of affixes changes the meaning of a word differently

• The most common types of affixes in English are prefix and suffix

Prefixes

• A prefix is a part added to the beginning of a word

• Example: dishonour, undo, rewind
