Sentences need 3 things

You should ask yourself 3 questions for each sentence.

1) Do you know what or who the sentence is about?
2) Do you know what that thing is
doing or "how" that thing is existing?
3) Is it a complete thought that leaves you without any questions?

I know the sentence is about Michael
I know he gave me a basketball.
I know the thought is all done. It's a sentence!

When Michael gave me his basketball.

I am left with a question:

a basketball?? It's a fragment!
