A ratio is a comparison of two quantities of numbers a and b, where b does not equal 0.
Ratios can be written in three ways:
a to b
a : b
a / b

To scale the ratio by 2, you must multiply each part of the ratio by 2.
Ratios that name the same comparison are said to be equivalent.
A statement that two ratios are equivalent are called proportions.
Ratios can be scaled up by multiplication and scaled down by division.
