A few months ago, I decided to go to Yorkshire...

It was the first time I had travelled a long distance on my own with just my children...

I wanted to go an see my Aunt and Uncle who live in York because I hadn't seen them for a long time...

So, we decided to set off early in the morning. I wanted to leave by 7am so I set my alarm. Unfortunately, my alarm didn't go off so we woke up late......

We rushed around, getting everything ready and eventually I managed to get the children and all our bags in the car by 8am. I found my Aunt's post code in my SAT NAV and I set off..

It was quite an easy journey. We just went straight up the motorway. There wasn't a lot of traffic so the drive was ok...

Eventually, my sat nav told me to exit the motorway and we drove along some country roads until I got to the town where my aunt and uncle live. As we were driving through the town, I recognised some of the places I had visited many years ago...

When we eventually arrived at my Aunt and Uncle's house, I jumped out of the car and rang the doorbell. That is when something really unexpected happened.

A lady answered the door but it wasn't mu aunt!

She told me that my aunt and uncle had moved house!

Well, I eventually I realised what had happened. We were in such a hurry that morning, that I had forgotten to put my Aunt and Uncle's new postcode into my Sat Nav....

So, I phoned my Aunt and explained what had happened. She thought it was very funny...

In the end, she gave me the correct postcode and we set off once again!

It didn't take too long to get to their new house but I felt exhausted by the time we got there.
