​National heroes are individuals whose extraordinary actions have resulted in significant national development. Our national heroes have displayed dedication to bringing about changes to oppressive and unjust conditions in our society. Their valour in advocating against unfair conditions was manifested in riots, rebellions, protests, petitions, and the establishment of organisations. The results of their activities led to changes which helped to improve people’s lives and ultimately resulted in national development.
