​ Mountains
A landform with high elevation and high relief and usually occur as part of a mountain range. Mountain range - group of mountains that are closely related in shape, structure, and age. Mountain system - the different mountain ranges in a region (ex. Bitterroot Mountains are a range in Rocky Mountains) Mountain belt - a larger unit of mountain ranges and mountain

​ Plateaus
an area of a highland consisting of flat terrain that is raised sharply above the surrounding area on at least one side

​Dunes
hills of sand piled up by the wind. These are usually found on coast lines or in deserts

​Coastlines
The boundary between the land and the ocean or a lake

​Rivers
and Deltas A river is a natural stream of water that flows into another body of water such as an ocean, lake, or another river.

Delta
When a river reaches an ocean, the water slows and sand, clay, and sediment build up forcing the river to branch out

​ Plains
is a flat expanse of land that generally has low relief and low elevation, and is primarily treeless. Plains occur as lowlands along valleys or at the base of mountains and as as coastal plains
