Velocity is different from speed. Speed measures how fast something is going. It does not consider direction. Velocity, however, is a measure of how FAST something is going IN A PARTICULAR DIRECTION.

Our focus for today is VELOCITY!

If I say Sha'Carri ran 24 mph, I'm only telling you her speed...

But if I say she ran 24 mph Northwest, I'm expressing her VELOCITY.​
