Present Simple

Je gebruikt de present simple voor:

Vaststaande tijden (openings- sluitingstijden/begin – eind tijden/ vertrek en aankomsttijden etc) School starts at 8.10. The train leaves at 7: 43. The stores close at 18.00.

Vorm:

Ww (I/we/you/they)
Ww+s (he/she/it)

Vragen:

Do + ow + ww + rest van de zin

Does + ow + ww + rest van de zin

Does school start at 8.10?

Does the train leave at 7?

Do the stores close at 18.00?

Ontkenningen:

Don’t + hele ww

Doesn’t + hele ww

School doesn’t start at 8.10.

The train doesn’t leave at 7.

The stores don’t close at 18.00.

Present Continuous

Iets wat binnenkort staat te gebeuren, is afgesproken! De tijd en plaats zijn afgesproken! Het is eenmalig (over het algemeen).

Vorm:

Am/is/are + ww+ing

Vragen:

Am/is/are + ow + ww + ing + rest van de zin

Am/is/are + not + ww + ing

I am not having my birthday party in my yard next Saturday.

He isn’t / is not playing a football match next Sunday.

*bij vragen met als onderwerp I/we dan mag je geen will gebruiken, maar dan gebruik je shall!
