Nouns

Nouns are very important things. They are sometimes the subject of a sentence or the thing the sentence is based on. Nouns are names of people, Names of places, things, and names of ideas. There are 2 basic types of nouns called Common nouns and Proper nouns. Common nouns are used to refer to person, place, or thing in GENERAL (without be very specific). They are like dog, town, boy, teacher, drink (in noun form). Proper nouns are specific names of a person, place, thing, and idea. Some examples are: England, Johnny, Toronto, Mars. There are many more different types of nouns.

3

Verbs

Verbs are action words. They say what we are doing. They show our movement in words. Verbs are usually used after the Noun to show what the noun is doing. For example, in "Jack is running" the verb goes after the noun. The noun is "Jack" and the verb is "running". Verbs make sentences not that boring and puts some action into story. There are words that describes how the noun is doing the verb. It is called adverbs. Adverbs explain the verb and make sentences more detailed. Like in "Jack ran quickly", quickly is the Adverb and it is explaining how Jack ran.

4

Pronouns

Pronouns are like common nouns but they are not common nouns. Pronouns are saying somebody but by not their name. You are talking about them without using their name. Pronouns are used often when you don't know someone's/something's name. Some examples of Pronouns are: he, she, I, you, him, her, it, and this. There are so many types of Pronouns. Also a Pronoun can be in a sentence without a noun.

5

Adjectives

Adjectives are words that describe Nouns or Pronouns. They make the Nouns or Pronouns more interesting. They add content to them. Adjectives explain the details of a noun or pronoun. They give you a better view of the noun and a better description of them. Some examples of Adjectives are: Smart, big, tall, skinny, fast, and tricky. There are so many examples of Adjectives.
