Equivalent rates - have the same unit rate

Examples

  • 30 cars pass by in 2 hours. The unit rate is 15 cars per hour.

  • You can paint 4 boards in half an hour. The unit rate is 8 boards per hour.

  • There were 75 students and 3 teachers. The unit rate is 25 students per teacher.

  • They need 5 m of thread to make 2 cm of cloth. The unit rate is 2.5 m per cm.

  • You buy a 12-pace of Coke for $4.99. The unit rate is $0.42 per can.
