What are Text Structures?

Have you ever noticed how stories are written?

Think about what the word structure means----it means pattern or organization of something.

A text structure is just how a story/text is organized!!!

There are 5 different types of text structures.

Different Types

Realizing how a text is structured can help us understand what is going on in the text. It also helps us understand an author's purpose in writing it.
