​Direct Object Pronouns

​A direct object pronoun is a type of pronoun that replaces a direct object in a sentence.
By using direct object pronouns, you can avoid repeating the noun. For example: I saw John yesterday. I saw him crossing the street.

In the example "him" is the direct object.

​Direct Object Pronoun Examples

• Roberto lo llama - Robert calls him/Robert is calling him

• La ayudo - I help her/ I am helping her

• Me ven - They see me.

​An indirect object pronoun in Spanish is used to indicate the recipient of an action. These pronouns roughly translate as "to him" or "for him" and are used as such in Spanish.

Subject pronouns are pronouns that replace the subject of a sentence, indicating who or what is performing the action,

I am eating chicken. - Yo como pollo

She sleeps alot - Ella duerme mucho.
