​What is Recount text?

A recount text is a text which retells about events or experiences in past.

The Purpose Of Recount text

The Purpose of recount text is to inform the readers about events or experiences in the past.​

​

Tujuan teks recount adalah untuk menginformasikan kepada pembaca tentang peristiwa atau pengalaman di masa lalu.​​

Kind Of Recount text​

​

1. Personal ​​recount

   A personal recount text usually retells an experience in which the writer was personally involved​

2. A procedural recount

   recount events such as a science experiment or a cooking experience.

3. ​Imaginative

   ​is a recount text that has a function to tell imaginative events

   ​

​ 4. Historical.​

Language Features​

1. Introducing Personal : Participants ( I, We, They, Andi, ...)

2. Using Chronological Connection (First, second, then, next, etc)

3. Using Simple Past Tense (went, saw, bought, ...)

4. Using Action verb ( Looked, moved, etc​ )

5. Using Link Verb ( were, was, could, etc)​

Generic Stuctures​

​

1. Orientation is introducing the participants, place, and time​

2. Event is discribing the events in chronological.

3. Re-orientation is deliver personal comment of impression of the story.​
