What are Types of Reservation ?

1. Accommodation Reservations

   Lodging services include hotels, motels, villas, home stays, and various other forms.

2. Ticket Reservation

   Reservations in the world of tourism are also called bookings. This type of order includes various services that require a ticket, as a sign of the right to use the related facilities.

3. Tour Reservation

   Tour reservations are reservations that can include plane, ground transportation.

4. Dining Reservations

   Restaurant reservations are arrangements guests make to confirm a table or order in advance of their event at a specific time.

The Form of Reservation

the following are several forms of reservations according to status:

1. New Reservation is a new reservation and is made for the first time.

2. Amended Reservation is a reservation that has been changed, the change usually occurs for the arrival or departure date.

3. Canceled Reservation is a reservation/booking that is cancelled.

4. Confirmed Reservation is a reservation that is certain and confirmed.

5. Individual Reservation is a reservation for individual guests.

6. Group Reservation is a reservation for group guests.

7. Conference Reservation is a reservation for a conference or seminar.

Mr. Brown : Hi, good afternoon.

Receptionist : Ok Sir, let me check it for you. Please wait a moment. Yes sir, we have several rooms available for that particular weekend. What is the exact date of your arrival?

Mr. Brown : March 16th.

Receptionist : How long will you be staying, Sir?

Mr. Brown : I’ll be staying for 2 days.

Receptionist : Okay Sir. How many people is the reservation for?

Mr. Brown : There will be two of us. So, I want to reserve only 1 room.

Receptionist : Would you like a room with twin beds or a double bed, Sir?

Mr. Brown : A double bed, please.

Receptionist : Okay Sir. Would you like to have a room with a view of the mountain?

Mr. Brown : If that type of room is available, I would love to have that. What’s the rate for the room?

Receptionist : The rate is five hundred dollars per night. What name will the reservation be listed, Sir?

Mr. Brown : Daniel Brown.

Receptionist : Could you spell your last name, please?

Mr. Brown : Sure. B-R-O-W-N.

Receptionist : Okay, thank you Mr. Brown. May I have your phone number, please?

Mr. Brown : Yes, my phone number is 1234-5678.

Receptionist : Well Mr. Brown, now I’ll need your credit card information to reserve the room for you. What type of card is it?

Mr. Brown : It’s Visa. The number is 43211234.

Receptionist : What is the name of the cardholder, Sir?

Mr. Brown : My name itself, Daniel Brown.

Receptionist : Alright, Mr. Brown, your reservation has been made for the 16th of March for one room with a double bed and view of the mountain. Check-in is at 1 P.M. Should you have another questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Mr. Brown : Okay, thank you so much.

Receptionist : My pleasure, Sir. See you in March, Mr. Brown. Have a nice day.

Mr. Brown : Sure, see you and have a nice day too.
