Fossils lesson 2: predict the life of a fossil.
In this lesson we will predict the life of how a fossil lives.

How did it live?
By looking at some traits we can see how the fossil lives. look at the big eyes at the troodon it might suggests that it is a night hunter. The eyes are big so it is easier to see in the dark and it has long legs that shows it walks and runs on land.

What things did it eat?
We can look at it's teeth to see what things did it eat. Look at the sharp teeth in the T rex's mouth it is a predator it eats meat.

How did the fossil formed?
By looking closely at the details we can see how the fossil formed. This insect was trapped in amber: tree sap. It's amber because it was yellow like amber and it might be sticky to trap the insect.

What Environment did the fossil live in?
By looking at the body features we can see what environment it lived in. The mammoth's long fur tells that it lives in harsh winter environments.
