1. Start with the HEADING to find the MAIN IDEA.

2. Skim SUBHEADINGS to find SUPPORTING DETAILS.

3. Skim ANY OTHER TEXT features to get as much INFORMATION as possible.

4. Pull EVERYTHING together (steps 1-3). Write "I THINK this passage will be about..."
