Infinitives

Infinitives are the base form of verbs and can be used with or without the word "to." The form with "to" is called the "to-infinitive," while the form without "to" is called the "bare infinitive" or "infinitive without to."

There are 2 types of infinitives
To-infinitive
Bare infinitive (Infinitive without to)

To-infinitive:

• It is formed by adding "to" before the base form of the verb.

• Example: to go, to eat, to study

การใช้ To-infinitive:

• 1.ใช้เป็นประธาน ของประโยค

  To visit Mount Fuji is my dream

• 2.ใช้ในความหมายว่า "เพื่อ"

  We use the internet to find some information

การใช้ To-infinitive:

• 3.ใช้ตามหลังคำคุณศัพท์ (adjective)

  S.+be+ Adj.+ (for /of someone) + to infinitive

  He is happy to work here.

  it is important for Alex to save money.

การใช้ To-infinitive:

• 4.ใช้กับ adverb "too" (เกินไป) "enough" (พอ)

  too + Adj./Adb. + to inf.

• it is too good to be true

  Adj./Adv. + enough + to inf.

• she is old enough to drive on her own.

  enough + Noun + to inf.

• there isn't enough vegetables to make salad.
