ramses II was born around 1303 BC

• His father was named Sethi.

• His mother was named Queen Tuya

• Around the age of 24 (but was running the military at a much earlier age)

Since Ramses II reigned for over 60 years he was seen as a god. Ramses II expanded Egypts power the most over any pharaoh. He also had many military achievements. At the end of his powers Ramses had over 350 statues of himself. Nearly 50 of these statues were colossal statues.

• In 1976, his remains were issued an Egyptian passport. This was so he could be transported to Paris for treatment.
