​What is the Conditional form?

​The conditional form in Spanish is used to express actions that would happen under certain circumstances, or to express polite requests, desires, or hypothetical situations. (Using could or would in english)

Here are some English examples

  • If I had time I would watch the movie

  • Maybe I would travel to Europe next year

  • Would you like to eat now?

  • Could you wash this?

  • Si me llamaras, te explicaría todo.(If you called me, I would explain everything.)

  • Si ganara la lotería, compraría una casa en la playa. (If I won the lottery, I would buy a house at the beach.)

  • Si tuvieras la oportunidad, ¿viajarías al espacio? (If you had the opportunity, would you travel to space?)
