“Cause” is the reason behind a particular event or circumstance. These are factors or conditions that make something happen or exist. In research or analysis, finding out the causes of something is an effort to understand the root of the problem or the factors that influence a situation or outcome.

Effect is the result or consequence of a certain event or action. This is an impact or effect that arises as a direct or indirect result of something that happened previously. In the context of cause and effect, cause is what causes an event to occur, while effect is the result or impact of the event.
