How to read the wheel...

  • Organizes feelings into a pie chart with 7 sections.

  • Each of the feelings are put into these 7 sections.

    • Bad, fearful, angry, disgusted, sad, happy, and surprised.

We can use the feelings wheel to identify specific feelings by looking at the inner circle, then working towards the outer circle.


For example, if you're feeling sad, you can use the wheel to figure out specifically what type of sadness. You might feel embarrased.
