Mean, Median, Mode, Range!

2

Mean~

The average of all the Numbers

To find the mean you must add all the numbers together and divide the total by how many numbers are in the data set! Ex. 24+27+ 28+30= 109 109 divided by 4 = 27.25 The mean would be 27.25

5

Median~

The Middle Number When In Order

First, organize and order the data from smallest to largest. To find the midpoint value, divide the number of observations by two. If there is an odd number of observations, round that number up, and the value in that position is the median.

Mode~

Most Common Number

The mode is the most common number that appears in your set of data. To find the mode count how often each number appears and the number that appears the most times is the mode.

11

Range~

The range is the simple measurement of the difference between values in a dataset. To find the range, simply subtract the lowest value from the greatest value, ignoring the others.
